A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"we came to this restaurant on the first night of our trip and had delicious appetizers, fish, and pasta. loved it. would highly recommend - very reasonable prices too"
"It was great experince! Place is perfect! Food as well. Nice and welcome atmosphere! Huge recommendation!"
"Great place to eat and full of locals, so you know it's good. This place was still packed at 10pm, and it has a really nice outdoor seating and ambiance. The pasta was fresh and it was very tasty. You can taste all the ingredients and it wasn't over filling. That feeling of bloatiness was not an issue and was a great portion. Highly recommend coming here."
"A true gem! Wonderful. Large Italian restaurant with great menu, fun wine, great service, cheap prices, large portions, unique recipes. A local gathering place. Not much English language is available though the menu does have English translations. Check out the amazing salmon appetizer!!!"
"The food was really good, the views from the large glass walls/full height sliding doors look out at the surrounding hills, the building is well designed, it has an outdoor terrace if visiting on a warmer evening than we had would be great. Feels odd to mention but great toilets! And I couldn't believe that a very large and really tasty Margherita pizza was only €6 I honestly thought we had read the menu incorrectly and was expecting to pay €20 for the pizzas I had steak and It was delicious! Absolutely worth a visit. Our waiter looked a bit harassed but service was more than acceptable and prompt. Pizzas for the children arrived in less than 10min. I can see why this place was packed with locals"
"This is what an Italian restaurant should be in my opinion. We had 2 amazing pizzas, half a liter of house wine. 2 espresso’s for only 37,50. The pizzas were perfect and the wine as well. We wanted to go here for a second time, but it was closed our last day unfortunately."
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il Vecchio Mulino in Arzachena, and it was a good experience! The restaurant offers a busy but inviting atmosphere, perfect for a meal with family or friends. Couples might not be happy if they look for a romantic dinner for two. One of the highlights of my visit was the Pizza Barrosa. This pizza was a delightful combination of flavors, with a good crispy crust, some spicy salumi and delicious funghi porcini. The balance of ingredients was ok, making it a tasty Pizza. For dessert, I couldn’t resist trying the Tortina di Pistacchio. It was simply divine! The pistachio lava flooding hot out of the cake with a rich and authentic flavor as well as a nice nutty texture was just right—soft and moist, yet not too heavy. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. The service was efficient, a bit chaotic but coordinated chaotic. It functions and this is what counts. Very well done for serving such a big number of guests. Overall, Il Vecchio Mulino is a good alternative for good food and friendly service. I recommend it to anyone looking for. Pizza and meat dishes !"
"Local dishes, fresh seafood and fish, English speaking staff (well at least one waitress who was very nice) and great views. We had dinner here twice, the place was full on both nights so booking is highly recommended. It appeared that the restaurant was understaffed, we and other guests had to wait a while to be seated and for being served too however the food was ready in minutes. I found the place very pricy but given its proximity to our accommodation, it was convenient."
